But it sure as hell wasn't easy. We are working on clearing out the office - but it didn't get done before my run today, so I woke up and ran on the treadmill at 845 this morning. I was actually up around 6am and had time to hydrate & eat a granola bar before getting my run in so that I wasn't pushing myself in a fasted state. However, it was so warm in the garage (even though I had the fan going and the cooler on!) that it just sucked to run out there. I couldn't find my rhythm and was never able to really relax into the run. I didn't hit my usual stride of 6.5 MPH the whole run today - but I maintained my run at 6.3-6.5 for the first 5 minutes and then ran at 6.0 MPH for the remaining 15 minutes. The 6.0 was tricky to maintain, but I refused to slow down anymore and pushed myself to keep up the pace
It hit my goals of being ran at a sub-10 pace - so I should be proud of that, but there's no reason why I should struggle so much during a workout and it should have been better. I usually feel better after a run - but today's struggle just left me feeling really crappy. Hopefully my run will go much better tomorrow. I've got to make more playlists for my week 6 and week 7 workouts today - so that's what I'll be doing for part of the afternoon today. I've already been working on the office for a few hours, so it will be nice to sit on my butt for a few while I make those mixes.
Nutrition has been good and I weighed in at 174.4lbs yesterday morning and this morning as well! I'm thrilled about that and I'm only 3.5 pounds away from my first 10lbs lost goal! Woot!
I watched the Tour De France this morning and really enjoyed it (I've been watching when I can on the weekends) - and saw a commercial for something totally awesome!!!
MASSIVE DO WANT!!!!

UGH! Maybe I'll be able to swing the $1300 for one sometime soon. Since we're working on being debt free, I doubt I can get one until next Spring, but DAMN those things are WAY cool! I love the fact that they run on Google Maps!!!
Okay - so anyways, now I'm just chillin' at the house and relaxing a little bit. I'm still a little cranky about my crappy workout this morning but hopefully that will go away soon! I just couldn't find my stride on this run today and hopefully I'll be able to zen out sometime soon
Alright, that's it - hopefully I can get the office done today. I'll be sure to post pics once I do!!!
